South Australia's Adam Internet has been welcomed as a major partner of the 2014 Santos Tour Down Under.

Adam Internet is the naming rights sponsor of the sprint jersey awarded to the cyclist who accumulates the most sprint points across the six stages of the Santos Tour Down Under.

Events South Australia General Manager Hitaf Rasheed said it was fantastic to see a strong South Australian brand supporting the southern hemisphere's largest cycling event.

"The Santos Tour Down Under is known and loved around the world, so it's exciting to see South Australia's own Adam Internet providing support and lending its name to the sprint jersey," Ms Rasheed said.

"Adam Internet is a great local company and it's fantastic to see their passion for the Santos Tour Down Under and its community benefits."

Ms Rasheed said the world's best cyclists had worn the sprint jersey at the Santos Tour Down Under including German powerhouse André Greipel and Australian sprint champion Robbie McEwen.

"The sprint jersey is awarded to the fastest rider in the peloton and there's no doubt that the Adam Internet Sprint Jersey will be sought after at the 2014 Santos Tour Down Under," Ms Rasheed said.

Michael Owen, Chief Operating Officer of Adam Internet, was thrilled to be supporting the Santos Tour Down Under for the sixth year running.

"Adam Internet is committed to South Australia and we are regularly looking for ways that we can be involved with our community," Mr Owen said.

"The Santos Tour Down Under gives us an opportunity that not only brings the community together, but also promotes the best our great state has to offer."

The Santos Tour Down Under will be held in Adelaide and regional South Australia from 18-26 January 2014.
